One thing about Mother Nature is her ability to be fragile and powerful at the same time. It is our job to protect her beauty in all its forms and it\u2019s a job that the team at Cas Gasi take very seriously. Right from the start, before the farmhouse became a hotel, owners Margaret von Korff and Luis Trigueros had the finca certified as organic in order to produce their fruits and vegetables completely naturally. Nowadays that garden has grown to feed the guests of Cas Gasi under the loving care of Pepe who is both a dear neighbour, farmer and green-thumb.<\/p>\n

Every year Cas Gasi presses oil from the olives grown in the orchard. The fresh fruit of the trees is harvested, cold pressed and bottled at a local press. Pesticide-free, completely organic and delicious \u2013 perfect for salads, dressings and just sopping up with a hunk of rustic bread. The bottles and tins also make perfect gifts and mementos of Cas Gasi.<\/p>\n
Food is not the only area where Cas Gasi focuses its conservationist\u2019s consciousness. The swimming pool is treated with salt, making it completely chemical-free which is much kinder on hair and skin plus the planet. Several fish ponds throughout the property act as life giving sources of water and food plus safe habitats for all kinds of local wildlife, including the little frogs that can be heard singing their hearts out at sunset.<\/p>\n

An electric car is available to guests on the property with its very own charging station. There are also electric and regular bicycles to use. Putting along the country roads of the surrounding landscape is one of the loveliest ways to experience the island as well as being environmentally friendly \u2013 you can burn the fat without burning the earth!<\/p>\n
