Escape to Cas Gasi for New Year
Once the hustle of Christmas is over, attentions turn to everyone’s favourite celebration – New Year’s Eve. Here at Cas Gasi we are preparing for one of our favourite times of the year: the festive holidays and New Year’s Eve brimming with traditional touches to make our guest’s stay extra special. Believe it or not, despite being off-season, Ibiza is one of the best places to celebrate the dawn of a new year.
Our guests often tell us that our passion for traditional hospitality and personal thoughtful touches sets us apart, so we hope that some of you will come over to the mild and romantic winter of Ibiza to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style. Cas Gasi is open right through the cooler months and transforms into a homelike hub of crisp days and cosy nights.
Touch down just before the big day and take a moment to truly enjoy Ibiza. Mild winter days capped with the bluest of skies makes the island a joy for strolling along the beaches or taking walks through the forests to spectacular lookouts or ancient Phoenician villages. This, combined with a flask of mulled wine and a slice of homemade cake is a winter dream come true.
Cas Gasi hosts a curated New Year dinner for a few, selected guests, which always ends with the local tradition of eating 12 grapes (one for each chime of the clock at midnight) – a feat that induces fits of hysterics as diners try their best to munch down before the clock strikes one minute past midnight.
After dinner, those who prefer the quiet can retire to the living room and take a nightcap in front of the fire. And those with lights in their eyes can head off into the Ibiza night to indulge in one of the many parties and celebrations on offer. Thank goodness for the ample deliciousness of the Cas Gasi breakfast. No doubt some people will need a hearty pick-me-up to start the New Year in style.
