Nourishing at Cas Gasi

Over the years, Cas Gasi owner Margaret Von Korff has put a lot of energy into the organically grown vegetable garden onsite. The quality of produce that comes out of the garden and into the kitchen is a testament to Cas Gasi’s commitment to organic, chemical-free living. The kitchen uses as much of the produce the garden can provide and anything that comes from outside is carefully vetted by Margaret for quality and sustainability.

The Cas Gasi food philosophy is simple: fresh, in season, organic where ever possible, cooked with respect and served with love. The menu features classic Spanish dishes such as Andalusian Gazpacho, sometimes with a twist, and black rice with octopus and artichokes as well as modern plates using the best seafood, meats and of course vegetables from the garden.

For those guests looking to augment a stay at Cas Gasi with some health and wellbeing, the hotel works closely with resident yoga teacher Marie Laure Lasry and professional nutritionist Carolyne Ratund. Guests can choose from one of the health and wellbeing packages available or opt for a bespoke program designed individually. Carolyne proposes meals, juices and infusions – carefully calibrated to the needs of the individual, and Marie Laure takes care of massages and spiritual wellbeing.

Not only does the garden provide abundant goodness to the Cas Gasi kitchens, it is also a beautiful place of calmness and refuge. Guests are encouraged to walk amongst the neat rows of sprouting, green shoots and blossoming plants. In strawberry season there is nothing more divine the picking a gorgeous red sugar bomb direct from the plant and popping it straight into the mouth. And come late afternoon it is pure bliss to take a seat under the wisteria and jasmine covered walkway and watch the play of light as the sunsets cover the garden. More Cas Gasi magic moments…
