Our neighbourhood by electric bike

Our neighbourhood by electric bike

There are so many lovely trails and pathways leading to cute villages and gorgeous beaches throughout Ibiza. Of course, there are many options for discovering these hidden routes; walking tours, cross country running, mountain biking… but if you prefer to actually relax while taking in this beauty rather than exerting yourself, taking an electric bike is the perfect answer.

Once you’ve headed out of the Cas Gasi gates on one of our electric bikes (helmets are optional in Spain but we highly recommend it on the nearby bumpy roads), it’s possible to spend the whole day meandering about, getting lost in the best possible way only to end up in some lovely spot surrounded by pine trees and wild rosemary with the sparkling Med stretching out before you.

The nearby village of Santa Gertrudis is easily accessible via electric bike either through the back roads or along the brand new bike track. Cosmopolitan and bohemian, this inland village is supremely chic and a must-visit for most of our guests. Take a coffee at one of the many cafes, stop for lunch and most importantly do a bit of shopping at the many boutiques. After all, you’ll be coming home on an electric bike so you may as well load up! Be sure to stop at Sluiz on the way home, a warehouse mecca of homewares and fashion that shopaholics should not miss.  Also nearby is the gorgeous village of San Mateo. Follow the country roads to this rural, picturesque and charming hamlet.

Of course, gliding through wooded roads lined with sheep, goats and whitewashed farmhouses has to be one of the most romantic things ever, especially if you end up at Benirras beach in time for sunset. Take a picnic lunch from the hotel or stop in at the beach bar – whatever you choose, getting there by electric bike is one of the best ways to arrive. And getting back is a breeze – simply switch on the motor and glide all the way back home.
