Types of Yoga

Iyengar

Iyengar yoga is a precise and methodical style of yoga that emphasizes alignment and the use of props such as blocks, straps, and blankets to support the body in various poses. It was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar and aims to develop strength, flexibility, and balance, while promoting mindfulness and a deep connection to the body.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic style of yoga that synchronizes movement with breath. It typically involves moving through a series of postures in a flowing sequence, with each movement timed to an inhale or exhale. The practice is often physically challenging and aims to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, gentle style of yoga that involves holding passive poses for longer periods of time, typically 3-5 minutes or more. It targets the deep connective tissues of the body and aims to improve flexibility, promote relaxation, and release tension.

Partner Yoga

Partner Yoga is a type of yoga practice that involves two people working together in a variety of poses. It often involves physical contact, such as holding hands or supporting each other's weight. The practice can help deepen a sense of connection and trust between partners, as well as improve communication and balance.

Yoga Regenerativo

Yoga Regenerativo, or Restorative Yoga, is a gentle and passive style of yoga that focuses on deep relaxation and restoration of the body and mind. It involves holding comfortable, supported poses for several minutes at a time, with the aim of reducing stress and tension in the body and promoting a sense of calm and inner peace.

Yoga de Inversión

Yoga de Inversión, or Inversion Yoga, involves practicing yoga poses where the head is positioned below the heart. These poses can include headstands, handstands, and shoulder stands. Inversion Yoga can help improve circulation, increase energy, and promote a sense of clarity and focus. It can also be physically challenging and should be practiced with caution and under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
